Wilma Jean Franklin

Mrs. Wilma Jean Murphy Franklin, 83, of Somerset, KY, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 21, 2015. She passed peacefully at home while surrounded by loved ones. She was born on October 15, 1934, to Willie Riley Murphy and Sarah Mae Smith Murphy, in Seco, KY. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Little Pilgrims Rock Old Regular Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Mr. Jesse Isreal Franklin, he survives. Other survivors include; one son, Donald “Don” (and Tracey) Franklin of Nancy; four sisters, Betty Murphy of Brunswick, OH, Reba Fay Murphy of Kent, OH, Willene Murphy of Parma, OH, and Peggy Mangam of Brunswick, OH five grandchildren, Hannah (and Bryan) Denney, Rebekah (and Jeremy) Waters, Jesse Franklin of Somerset, Sarah (and Adam) Padgett of Somerset and Allison Sadler of Nancy; Four great grandchildren; Elise Padgett, Isabella Denney, Isaac Waters, and David Waters; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Loretta Murphy Newton and Elizabeth Murphy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, Kentucky immediately following the service. The family of Mrs. Wilma Jean Franklin will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mrs. Wilma Jean Franklin with all funeral arrangements.
