Evanell “Nan” Daniels, age 82 of Somerset, Kentucky daughter of the late Fonnie Roberts Patton and William Patton was born on April 17, 1933 in Floyd County and departed this life on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at her residence in the presence of her family.
She is survived by daughter Sally (and Dr. William) Robinson of Somerset; son Tommy (and Peggy) Daniels, Destin, FL; 8 grandchildren Dana Robinson, Joe O’Nan, Halla Daniels Gibson, Michael O’Nan, Amy Robinson Key, Cleve Daniels, Kelly Robinson, and Megan Daniels; and 5 great-grandchildren Emily O’Nan, Andrew Mainka, Valerie O’Nan, Grace Gibson, Sophie Mainka, and William Patrick Key.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Eugene Daniels; daughter, Linda O’Nan; and 9 brothers and sisters.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Somerset; co-founder of Somerset Foods; Sorority House Mom for UK’s Alpha Zeta Delta, Alpha Omicron Pi, and Pi Beta Phi; avid golfer and bowler; and loved all things UK including going to UK Football and Basketball games.
Nan loved her family and friends very much. She touched many lives and will be missed by those who knew her.
Service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, December 17 at First Baptist Church with Don Moss officiating. Graveside service will immediately follow at the Somerset Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am Thursday at the church until time for services.
