Mildred Muse Sims

October 20, 1920 — March 18, 2006

Mildred M. Sims, 85 years young, passed away on Saturday, March 18th, 2006. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles C. Sims, who also passed away on Saturday, March 18, 1995, exactly eleven years prior to Mildred. She was also preceded in death by her parents, the late Bob and Minnie Barker Muse; and a very special niece, Sue Love Tarter. Mildred was born on October 20, 1920 in Somerset, Kentucky. She was the Co-Owner of Commercial Printing until her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Somerset, a past member of the "Adams" Sunday School Class. the Somerset Business and Professional Womens's Club, and the Somerset Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, #23. She is survived by; two sisters, Mabel (and Clarence) Love of Somerset, Kentucky and Christine Tucker of Florence, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Fickenschers of Sun City, Arizona and Beatrice Perdue of Somerset, KY; a very special nephew, Mr. Bob (and Sherry) Tucker of Somerset, Kentucky; and two nieces, Toni Tucker Beil of Florence, Kentucky and Peggy Tucker Cave of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky; and several great nephews and nieces. "Aunt Mil" lavished her family with love and generosity. She impacted thier lives with her warm smile, kind words and uncomplaining spirit. The family of Mildred M. Sims will recieve friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2006. A celebration of life service will be conducted by Rev. Joe Altman on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of contributions to the First Christian Church Building Fund. Envelopes are available at Pulaski Funeral Home or the First Christian Church of Somerset. Pulaski Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
