Ray S. Roberts, 80 of Nancy, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at his home.
Ray was born in Faubush, Kentucky on December 9, 1934 to the late Arthur and Alma Weddle Roberts. He was retired from the Robinson Milling Company and was a farmer. He was a faithful member of Sardis Methodist Church where he served in the choir and other various positions over the years.
He is survived by his wife Lecreita Ann Prather Roberts whom he married on November 24, 1956; son Gerald (and Yvonne) Roberts, son Garnet (and Sarah) Roberts, all of Nancy, Kentucky. He is also survived by several grandchildren - Valerie (and Michael) Cook, Christopher (and Heather) Roberts, Bradley (and Stephanie) Roberts, all of Somerset; Kelsey (and Ryan) Smart of Kansas City Missouri and Madison Roberts and Tristan Litton of Nancy, Kentucky. Also, 3 great grandchildren, Lucy Cook, Monroe Cook, and Emersyn Roberts and 2 more great grandchildren he was anxiously awaiting. He is also survived by 4 sisters, Mable (and Claude) Trimble, Lena Roberts both of Nancy; Marie Lawson of Somerset and Diana (and Albert) Godbey of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents. He was a loving man with a servant’s heart who adored his Lord, his family and working on his farm.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, KY from 11 a.m. until time for services with the funeral being held at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Chris Jasper and Bro. Kenneth Pierce officiating. Graveside service will immediately follow at the Todd Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky.
