Mrs. Christine Simpson, daughter of the late Neil and Alma Estep Stogsdill, was born at Shopville, Kentucky on June 21, 1922 and she departed this life on Saturday, November 28, 2015 having attained the age of 93 years. She is survived by; one son, Edward L. Snell and his wife Carolyn of Elgin, South Carolina, two grandchildren, Dr. Chriscelyn (and Jimmy) Tussey of New York, and Christie Snell of Somerset, Kentucky; four great grandchildren, Bella and Parker Tussey and Christopher Partin and Ciara Chappell; three great great grandchildren, Kennedy Chappell, Ava Chappell and James Partin, a host of step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; one brother, Odell (and Charlotte) Stogsdill of Shopville, KY, and two sisters, June (and Charlie) Randall of Somerset, KY and Francis Adkins of Burnside, KY. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Simpson; one sister, Geneva Stogsdill who died in early childhood, and two brothers, Wayne and Oliver Stogsdill. Christine worked for many years for South Kentucky RECC, and she also was a volunteer for many years for the Red Cross organization. She adhered to the Methodist faith, and was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves a host of relatives, and friends who mourn her passing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery at Shopville, KY. The family of Christine Simpson will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2015. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mrs. Christine Simpson.
