Marvin Charles Morrow, age 69, of Somerset died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Marvin was born June 19, 1939 in Keno, Kentucky to the late Ernest and Ethel Casada Morrow. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burnside. Marvin was a United States Navy Veteran and served during the Korean conflict aboard the U.S.S. Dixie. He was united in marriage to Anna Sue Lundy on March 12, 1958.
Marvin was co-owner and operator of Mill Outlet Fabrics Inc. on South Hwy 27 for 36 years before retiring in 2002. Most knew him as the Singer Sewing Machine Man.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years; Sue, a daughter; Stephanie (and Danny) Flynn of Somerset, two sons; Derek (and Donna) Morrow of Somerset and Kelly (and Rada) Morrow of Russell Springs, Ky., two granddaughters; Hailey Flynn and Morgan Morrow both of Somerset, four sisters; Helen Bryant, Elaine Gibson, June (and Dempsey) Davis of Somerset and Norma Jean (and Thomas) Buford of Louisville, Ky. and one sister-in-law; Barbara Clem. Marvin also leaves behind several nephews and Cousins and a special caregiver; Betty Owen.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Gover and Bro. Sammy Adkins officiating.
Burial will be held in the Mount Union Cemetery in Keno, Kentucky.
The family of Mr. Marvin Morrow will receive friends from 5-9p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2009 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association or the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
