David Lee Hargis

Mr. David Lee Hargis, age 62 of Somerset, Kentucky son of Wilene Whitis Hargis and the late Eugene Hargis was born on August 13, 1953 in Somerset and departed this life on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandparents; Noah and Mary Mae Hargis, and maternal grandparents; Robert “Bob” and Buena Whitis. Mr. Hargis is survived by his mother, one son; James “JD” Hargis (and Jami Ashley) of Somerset, three grandchildren; Chase Ashley, Chelsea Ashley, Cash Hargis and a beloved cousin; June Stephens. Mr. Hargis loved to fish and hunt and loved his grandkids. David was a former employee of Tru-Check & Modern Distributing, he was a farmer, He also set on the Cemetery Committee Board of Oak Grove Baptist Church, former Pastor of King Bee and member of Barnesburg Baptist Church where he served as a Youth Minister. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Eden Cemetery. The family of Mr. Hargis will receive friends on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. David Lee Hargis.
