Mr. Cecil T. Meece, son of the late Everett L. and Rose Ellen Mayfield Meece, was born on November 11, 1927 and he departed this life on Wednesday, March 04, 2009 having attained the age of 81 years. Cecil was united in marriage to Thelma Mae Cottongim Meece on September 11, 1948 in Somerset, KY, she survives. Other survivors include; one son, David (and Patty) Meece of Burnside, KY; one daughter, Beverly (and Bruce) Sears of Somerset, KY; one son-in-law, Larry Strunk of Somerset, KY; eight grandchildren, Misty Strunk of Somerset, KY, Erica (and Andy) Hatter of Somerset, KY, Scott Meece of Russell Springs, KY, Kim (and Greg)) Zimmerman of Burnside, KY, Kisha Sears of Somerset, KY, Brandon Sears of Somerset, KY, Reuben (and Nina) Sears of Somerset, KY and Trent Sears of Somerset, KY; and three great grandchildren, Raylynne Davis, Ethan Hatter, and Nathan Sears and one sister, Bertha Johnson. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by; one daughter, Linda Meece Strunk; three brothers, James, Roy and Claude Meece; two sisters, Imogene Ramsey and Dorthy Bear, and one great grandchild, Tyler Wayne Sears. When he was able and active, he worked for Robinson Milling Company for more than 40 years, and worked part time with H.T. Hackney for several years. He was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church and he was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him, he leaves a host of other relatives, friends and church family who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Baker, Bro. Steve Sutton and Bro. Mike Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens, The pallbearers will be; Mr. Brandon Sears, Mr. Reuben Sears, Mr. Trent Sears, Mr. Andy Hatter, Mr. Greg Zimmerman, and Mr. Scott Meece, and Honorary pallbearers will be Raylynne Davis, Jordan Johnson and James Warriner. The family of Mr. Cecil T. Meece will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all funeral arrangements of Mr. Cecil T. Meece.
