Diana Louise Beasley - Hamby departed this life on October 29, 2015 at her home in Somerset, KY. Diana was born on July 24, 1946 in Somerset, Ky., daughter of the late Louise Beasley and Herbert “Perk” Beasley ( and Jean) Beasley. She is survived by her three children and their spouses; Deana and Kenneth Hampton, Christopher and Nannette Coleman, Michael and Kelly Coleman. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Alexis Hampton, Ross and Niki Hampton, Lacy and Anthony Clark and MaKayla Dean Coleman, Cara Coleman, and Sydney Coleman. Five Great Grandchildren; Marley Hampton, Kingston Hampton, Jackson Clark, Maverick Clark and Raelyn Hampton. Diana also is survived by her brother Herbert Beasley and sister Deloris Rice and leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents and one sister; MaudeElla Jones.
Diana devoted the majority of her life’s work to helping other people as an Emergency Medical Technician and in 1983 opened Medical Transportation of Somerset, Ky. This ambulance service provided emergency and non-emergency care and transportation services to the Pulaski County area and the town of Somerset for approximately 15 years until the Pulaski County EMS purchased the company. After the sale of Medical Transportation, Diana moved to Negril, Jamaica and worked as a sales representative for RCI Timeshare Corporation and also operated a small food and beverage business on the Beach of Negril, Jamaica. After several years she then retired back in the Somerset, KY area and the Charleston, SC area.
Diana was a member of the Honorable Order of Ky Colonels; Who’s Who List of American Business Women and was an avid supporter and organizer of the March of Dimes Walk for America Program. Diana was a long member of the White Oak Baptist Church in Nancy, Ky and was saved and baptized as a young lady by Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Ky on Sunday, November 1st, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday November 2nd, 2015 at Pulaski Funeral Home and Burial Services will follow at 2:30 PM at Lakeside Memorial Gardens located at 4790 West Highway 80 in Somerset, Ky.
Donations can be made to the Non-Profit Charitable Organization of “Marley on a Mission” which she helped organize and establish that provides educational support and supplemental income to single parents in need of help. These Donations can be made to Citizens National Bank in Somerset Ky.
