Everett Coy Lovins, son of the late Harvey and Alvie Mink Lovins, was born September 1, 1932 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Monday, October 19, 2015 at his residence having attained the age of 83 years.
He was united in marriage to Mrs. Mildred Juanita Hinkle Lovins on March 13, 1953, she survives. Other survivors include; one daughter, Joan (and Michael) Isaacs of Somerset, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Michael Coy Isaacs and Juliaetta Isaacs; four great grandchildren, Maccey, Marriah, Marckeith, and Major Isaacs; one brother, Rothel Nelson Lovins and his companion Maxine Alderson; and the following children who were raised as his own, Johnny Earl Adkins, Frances Wiese, Virginia “Pete” Whitaker, Donna Adkins, and Juliaetta Kuhnapfel; two special friends, David Sears, and Eddie Hail; and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by; one son, Kinith Ray Lovins; five brothers, Orlan Mink, Fletcher Lee Lovins, James Monroe Lovins, C. P. Lovins, and Jimmy Earl Lovins; and one sister, Milda Hellen Cole.
Mr. Lovins was a retired Union Steward for the Formica Company, he adhered to the Baptist Faith, and enjoyed time with his family and friends. He was a kind and fun loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the West Somerset Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Everett Coy Lovins will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015. In Lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
