Lloyd Hamilton, 96, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at Somerwoods Nursing & Rehab.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on February 13, 1919, son of the late Sam and Golda Nunley Hamilton. He was a farmer and an avid grouse hunter. He worked locally and all over the state in livestock yards and Peoples Tobacco Warehouse. He was a member of Somerset Church of Christ.
He is survived his wife of 74 years, Virginia Davidson Hamilton, whom he married on December 29, 1940, two sons, Eddie & (Joann) Hamilton of Science Hill and Kenny & (Micki) Hamilton of Somerset, one daughter, Sue & (Larry) Snell of Mt. Victory, two sisters-in-law, Madge Hamilton and Ruth Hamilton, both of Somerset, six grandchildren, Karen & (David) Taylor, Barbara & (Michael) Wesley, Barry & (Debbie) Snell, Lisa & (Wade) Smith, Seth & (Peggy) Hamilton and Jared & (Becky) Hamilton, thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Howard, Jack and Bob Hamilton.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 19, 2015 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Willie Ramsey officiating.
Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 AM Monday at Pulaski Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Somerset Church of Christ.
