Mrs. Ruth Wallace

Mrs. Ruth Wallace of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away October 9, 2015 at the Jean Waddle Care Center. She was 102. Mrs. Wallace, born July 3, 1913, to Gale and Zella Helton of Sloans Valley, Kentucky, was a loving wife and mother. She was a faithful Christian, always active in church and service to the Lord and was a charter member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Clee Wallace; a son, Creston Wallace; two grandchildren, Cindy Swartz and Clark Wallace; and five brothers, Everett, Hollis, Vola, Kenneth, and Frank Helton. Survivors include; three sons, Harvey (and Sue) Wallace of Tacoma, Washington, Curt (and Doris) Wallace of Somerset, Kentucky, and Jerry (and Judy) Wallace of Iowa, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Lisa Gudmundson, Harvey Wallace, Jr., Krista Wallace-Boaz, Martin Wallace, Tiffany Taylor, and Kara Johnson; five great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Strader and Rev. Bill Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in the Sloans Valley Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Ruth Wallace will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until time for services Wednesday, October 14, 2015. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center where loving hands gave Ruth much comfort and care. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Ruth Wallace during this time.
