James "Jim" David Gibson, 57, of Somerset, KY departed this life on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his residence surrounded by loved ones.
Jim was born on April 3, 1958 at Somerset Hospital to his loving parents; Phyllis Latham Gibson and the late Clifton James Gibson. Jim was a member of the Burnside First Baptist Church. He worked as a security guard and a painter by trade. He also served in the U.S. military for two years as security detail in Germany.
Survivors include; his loving mother, Phyllis Latham Gibson; a daughter, Jerree (and Jason) Humphrey; two sisters, Tana (and Billy) Tarter, and Jenny Miller; two grandchildren, Brandon and Raegan Humphrey; a very special loved one, Dawn Brock; many nieces and nephews that adored him; and his forever faithful companion, Gator.
Jim was preceded in death by his loving and dedicated father, Clifton James Gibson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, October 9th, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at the Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family of Mr. James "Jim" David Gibson will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Friday morning until time for services.
Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38.
