Thelma Dye Redmon

August 28, 1922 — February 20, 2009

Thelma Dye Redmon, daughter of the late Berl and Lonnie Beasley Dye, was born on August 28, 1922 in Somerset, Kentucky, and she departed this life in the presence of her family at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation on Friday, February 20, 2009 having attained the age of 86 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Homer Redmon on December 22, 1937 and he preceded her in death on February 4, 1995. Survivors include: two children, Lillie (Fred) Stevens of Somerset, KY, and Linda ( Bro. Dervin) Spears of Owenton, KY., four grandchildren; Brad ( Julie) Stevens of Somerset, KY, Jan (Jonathan) Collins of Somerset, KY, Eric (Michele) Spears, of Owenton, KY, Stacey (Ryan) Young of Owenton, KY; six great grandsons; Noah and Luke Stevens of Somerset, KY, Jonah Collins of Somerset, KY, Jacob and Ben Spears of Owenton, KY and Alex Young of Owenton, KY; two brothers, Bob (Betty) Dye of Cincinnati, OH and Lawrence Dye of Covington, KY, and one sister, Helen (Paul) Gossage of Monticello, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, J. C. Dye. Thelma was a homemaker and she attended the Old Fashioned Faith Baptist Church. She was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. She also had many special friends at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitaion along with Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Dervin Spears and Bro. Eric Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Thelma Redmon will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements of Mrs. Thelma Redmon.
