Julia Baker Flynn

Julia Baker Flynn, daughter of the late Starling and Lizzie Turner Baker, was born at Yahoo, KY on November 21, 1931 and she departed this life on Sunday, February 15, 2009 having attained the age of 77 years. Survivors include her husband, Chester Flynn whom she married on August 9, 1968 in Somerset, KY; two children, Charles M. (and Judy)Baker and Mary Flynn Watson and her fiancee, Robert Edens; four grandchildren, Chris (and Rebecca) Baker, Jessica Baker Raspperry, Kristina Watson and Katelyn Edens; nine great grandchildren, Brandon Southwood, Damien Baker, Christopher Baker, Matthew Baker, Madison Jernigan, Kaylee Jernigan, Makayla Burton, Denise Raspperry and Jasmine Raspperry, two brothers, Emery Lewis (and Verla)Baker and William Luther (Bill) Baker and one sister, Daisy Doolin and several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by; two sisters, Ethel Baker, Glenda Gantz, one son-in-law, David Watson, brother-in-law, John Doolin, sister-in-law, Betty Baker, brother-in-law, Johnny Gantz. Julia was a homemaker and an avid collector of Salt and Pepper Shakers, and she also made quilts. She was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church since 1944 and a life member of the womens auxillary for the D.A.V. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery. The family of Julia Flynn will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
