Marlin G. Woodall 79, of Somerset, KY departed his life on Sept. 4, 2015 at Cumberland Nursing Rehab of Somerset, KY.
He was born in Ula, Ky on Nov. 21, 1935, son of Aaron and Ethel (Barnett) Woodall.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Vera (Smiley) Woodall; a son, Marlin Frankie (Nancy) Woodall of Somerset; a daughter, Stella (Pete) Whitaker of Somerset; grandson, Jason Woodall of Somerset; granddaughter, Rachel (Rocky) Wagers of London, KY; great grandson, Tiras Wagers of London, KY; Step great grandson, Dustin Whitaker of Somerset, and a step great granddaughter, Tanika Johnson of Hustonville, KY. He is also survived by; a brother, Arlin Jack (Janet) Woodall of Somerset; a sister, Ella Bea Slavey of Somerset; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and family to mourn his passing.
Proceeding him in death are his parents Aaron and Ethel Woodall, brothers Clinton, Denton, Arvin, and Omer (Clifford) and sisters Rosie (Leslie) Bray , Luretha ( Carl ) Mounce and Lexie ( Frankie ) Meece,
He retired from Bolton Building Supply in 2002 where he was employed for 42 years. He was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church # 1 of Bent Community, Where he served as a Sunday School Teacher until his illness prevented him from attending. He also served as the superintendent for some time.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday Sept. 8, at 2 pm in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday Sept. 7, from 5 - 9 Pm. Burial will follow in the Pine Thicket Cemetery.
