Jacob (Jake) Gregory Neikirk , age 30 of Somerset, Ky. Passed away suddenly Wednesday September 2, 2015. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a wonderful dad, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to so many. He was a Christian follower by Christ and attended Oak Hill Baptist Church. Jake was born in Somerset Ky. on June 3, 1985 to Joseph Neikirk Sr. and Gloria Stykes McGrady. He was a 2004 graduate of Delta High School in Muncie Indiana and a 2006 graduate of Louisville Technical Institute. He was the conscientious owner and operator of Neikirk Lawn Service of Somerset Ky. Jake is survived by; one son, Parker Jacob Neikirk, age 3, whom he loved very much; his mother, Gloria Stykes McGrady (Jeffrey) of Somerset, father Joseph Neikirk Sr. (Melissa) of Nancy; brother, Joseph Richard Neikirk Jr. (Dani) and Anna of Alexandria Va. and three step-brothers, Edward Insko Jr. (Mindy) Chaise and Sara of Lexington, Chuck Insko (Anna) Emma and Nicholas of Paris Ky. and Garrett McGrady of Louisville. Numerous uncles, aunts and cousins mourn his loss. Jake was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Herbert and Norma Stykes, paternal grandparents, Robert and Anna Margaret Neikirk, step-father, Edward Insko and Uncle Gregory Stykes. Funeral Services will be held at Oak Hill Baptist Church at 4 pm Saturday, September 5, 2015 with Jeffrey McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Bishop Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Oak Hill Baptist Church from 2pm until time for services. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
