Mr. Marion "Squirrel" Cook

Mr. Marion “Squirrel” Cook, son of the late Marion Buster and Martha Bell Turner, was born in Somerset, KY on June 26, 1957 and he departed this life at his residence on August 27, 2015 having attained the age of 58 years. Survivors include; two children, Angie Cook Grundy, and Greg Cook; two grandchildren, Destiney Barnes and Danielle Jackson; one great grandchild, Ryder Tomlinson; two brothers, Bill Cook, and Jessie Turner; four sisters, Elizabeth Burrus, Barbara Wainscott, Phyllis Cable, and Edna Edwards; four nephews, William, Glen and Scottie Cook and Joe Waddle; one niece, Ruth Ann Schuler; two sisters-in-law, Diana Turner and Betty Cook a best friend, Jessie Smith, and his two former wives, Carol Hylton and Melissa Elliott. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one son who died in infancy, Daniel Cook; three sisters, Betty and Helen Bray, and Margaret Ard; and one niece, Linda Smith. Mr. Cook was born in Somerset, but after reaching adulthood, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida and lived for several years while driving for the Coca-Cola Company, he later moved back to Somerset, KY. He enjoyed studying local history, walking, and being around people. He was very culturally minded and never met a stranger. He was a kind person who will be missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Cable officiating. Burial will follow in the Grave Hill Cemetery. The family of Mr. Marion “Squirrel” Cook will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Friday until time for services. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mr. Marion Cook.
