Clara Ann Meece

July 9, 1926 — August 11, 2015

Clara Ann Meece, daughter of the late James Wilburn and Oda Mae Calhoun Meece, was born at Hargis, Kentucky on Friday, July 9, 1926 and she went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 having attained the age of 89 years. Survivors include; one sister, Louise (and Ray) Hall; two brothers, James (and Virginia) Meece, and Clayburn (and Joann) Meece; eight nephews and nieces, Tony Hall, Paul Hall, Paula Cain, Loretta McIntyre, Mike Meece, Barbara Wren, Larry Meece, and Dreama Smith. She is also survived by a vast number of great nieces and nephews, three great great nieces and two great great nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Elizabeth Meece, and another sister, Dora Meece, and infant brother, Arthur Meece; one niece, Julie Hall; and one nephew, J.C. Meece. Clara was a member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church for 78 years. She has served at the church in the capacity of a Sunday school teacher and the church secretary. She was a retired seamstress from the Palm Beach Manufacturing Company having given them more than 42 years of service before retiring. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Ridner, and Rev. Larry Meece officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery. The family of Clara Ann Meece will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Clara Ann Meece.
