Mr. Floyd E. Phelps

Mr. Floyd E. Phelps, son of the late Floyd Lee and Rena Girdler Phelps, was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on September 27, 1937 and departed this life on Sunday, February 26, 2006 in Lexington, Kentucky at the Veteran's Administration Hospital on Leestown Road, having attained the age of 68 years. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Jewell C. Whitt Phelps, then later to Dorothy Phelps who preceded him in death. Mr. Phelps was a route salesman when he was active and working, he was also a U.S. veteran with an honorable discharge. He is survived by his first wife and thier children: James Glenn and wife Diane Phelps of Hamilton, Ohio; Thomas Eugene Phelps of Somerset, Kentucky; Anita Kay and husband Greg Riley of Bronston, Kentucky; Patricia Lynn and husband Lloyd Albright of Somerset, Kentucky; Johnny Ray and Wife Grace Phelps of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Steve Allen and wife Georgia Phelps of Somerset, Kentucky; his step-children, Sam Farmer, Tim Farmer, Sandra Debord and Melissa Farmer; one brother, Robert Phelps of Somerset, KY; two sisters, Linda (and Orin) Barnhill and Janet and Joe Denham both of Somerset, KY. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post # 38 Burial will follow in the Goodwater Cemetery. The family of Mr. Floyd E. Phelps will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Pulaski Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
