Mr. Jimmie E. Foster, Sr.

Jimmie E. Foster, Sr., son of the late John Jacob and Effie Marie Decker Foster, was born at Bronston, KY on June 29, 1947 and he departed this life on Saturday, February7, 2009 having attained the age of 61 years. He was united in marriage to Betty Elizabeth Turpin Foster on November 15, 1986, she survives. Other survivors include one son; Jimmie E. Foster, Jr. of Somerset, KY, one daughter, Cheryl Harris of Bradenton, FL; two grandchildren, Rachel Kelly of Somerset, KY and Thomas Benny Handley III of Bradenton, FL; Three great grandchildren, Kiley Strunk, Christian Strunk and Brandalynn Kelly; one sister, Vicky (and Billy) Lockard of Somerset, KY; the following sisters-in-law, Sandra Foster of Bronston, KY, Lisa and Gynger Phelps and Lisa’s Husband David of Eubank, KY, Juanita (and Bob) Wilkerson of Paris, KY; the following brothers-in-law, Jr. (and Joyce) Collins of Burnside, KY, Jim Collins of Somerset, KY, David Turpin of Somerset, Steve (and Cathy) Turpin of Somerset, KY and Dr. James D. (and Judy) Turpin of Zebulon, GA; his mother-in-law, Zella Turpin of Somerset, KY, the follow nephews and nieces, Stacy Lovell, Ronnie (and Ann) Brown, Stacy Brown, and Derick Lockard, a special friend, Tasha Bryant of the Dog Walk Community of Crab Orchard, KY and a host of other step-nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, friends and church family who both mourn his earthly passing and celebrate his homegoing. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, and one brother, Howard Foster. When he was able, Jimmie worked at Palm Beach Manufacturing, and later was the owner of Foster Professional Cleaning Service. In later years he was disabled and unable to work, but he gained great comfort from his wife and son, friends, relatives and church family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February11, 2009 at the Valley View Church of God at Science Hill, KY. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mr. Jimmie E. Foster, SR will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 and from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Church until after services.
