Mrs. Mary Mills, age 72 of Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of the late Richard Allen and Nanny Elizabeth Perkins Renfro was born on October 11, 1942 in Somerset, Kentucky and entered into eternal peace on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
Other than her parents Mary was preceded in death by three children at infancy; Georgetta, George Allen and Richard Mills.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years; George Marcus Mills he survives, she is also survived by one son; George Mills Jr. (and Vicki Richardson), one daughter; Elizabeth “Beth” Mills-Brown both of Somerset, two granddaughters; Topanga Elizabeth and Tatyana Gabrielle Brown. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends who all mourn her passing.
Mary was a faithful member of South Maple Street First Baptist Church. She attended Dunbar High School and graduated from Somerset High School in 1960. She was a life-long employee for Mr. & Mrs. Alton Blakley Sr. and family. She was such a loving person and a wonderful mother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 2:00p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. James Bartleston officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Mills will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, 2015 after 12 noon until time for services at Pulaski Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers family request expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland and/or Shriners Hospital for Children.
The family of Mary Mills wishes to express our most sincere gratitude for all of the many acts of kindness and concern extended to us in recognition of our loved one who departed this life.
