Jack Milton Hamm

Jack Milton Hamm, age 37, departed life on July 2, 2015 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. He was born in Somerset, KY on November 7, 1977 to Sherry Phillippi and Gary Hamm. He graduated from Pulaski County High School with honors in 1996. Jack attended Transylvania University on scholarship. During his lifetime he worked for Phoenix Preferred Care as a mentor for at risk youth and he was a successful business owner for over 10 years, running the Express Mart on Highway 39 where he went out of his way to serve his customers. Most recently he was employed with Kroger. Jack was extremely intelligent and creative, and enjoyed new challenges. He enjoyed woodworking, buying and selling antiques at the North 27 Antique Mall and gardening. More than anything else, he loved his family and his home and being a father. Jack is survived by his partner in life’s adventures, best friend and loving mother to his children, Briana Haynes Randolph. His three treasured daughters, Sunshine Randolph , 21, and twins, Kathryn Grace and Lauryn Elizabeth Hamm, both 15. His mother, Sherry Phillippi Cornell, who he loved beyond measure, and second father and friend, Dale Cornell. His favorite brother, Mark Hamm, and wife, Tina Hamm and nieces, Zoey, who granted him his first chance to practice parenting, and Lily Hamm. His mother-in-law, Susan Jasper and father-in-law Patrick Jasper for whom he had enormous love and respect. His sister-in-law, Kara Haynes, and husband, Bryon Vaught and their children, Spencer Kate, Ella Kincaid, Ezra Harrison and Nolan Walker Vaught. His maternal grandmother, Laura Boutwell. His brother-in-law, Rick Jasper, wife, Christy and their sons, Justin and Luke. His sister-in-law, Jennifer Jasper and her sons, Chris and Ben Joplin. His uncle, Steve Phillippi and wife, Mechelle and cousins, Danielle Sears (Tony) and Steve Phillippi (Lily). His aunt, Georgia Phillippi. His cousins, Jason Phillippi, Tara Phillippi, April Miles, Mickey Leitch and Brian Leitch. He is also survived by his aunt, Marlene Clark and cousins, Bill (Kim) Clark and their children and Bobby (Karin) Clark and their children. His uncle, David (Celeste) Hamm. In addition, Jack had several close friends including Marc and Lorie Carter, Willie Dick, and the other surviving members of the “Supper Club”. Jack is preceded in death by his father, Gary Milton Hamm. His grandparents, Marlin and Katherine Hamm. His grandfather, Max Phillippi and second grandfather, Norman Boutwell, who created many special childhood memories for him. His uncles, Mark, Anthony and Mike Phillippi and aunt, Debbie Leitch. His uncle, Bob Clark, who he held in high esteem. His great aunt, Mary Hamm, who was an extremely loving and influential person in his life. In addition, his father-in-law, Harrie Lynn Haynes Jr., who surely was there waiting on him when he crossed through Heaven’s gates. Jack’s family was very blessed to have him for 37 precious years, he was deeply loved and hewill be missed forever. The family would like to thank the following for offering their service as pallbearers: Marc Carter, Bill Clark, Dale Cornell, Willie Dick, Brian Elliott, Rick Jasper, Bryon Vaught and Brad Wilson. Brother Dave Muse officiating The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for services Monday, July 6, 2015 Funeral Services will be held at 2: 00 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse officiating. Burial will follow at Sloans Valley Cemetery. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
