Clementine Munday

January 14, 1926 — June 4, 2015

Clementine Munday was born January 14, 1926 in Somerset, Kentucky. She went to be with The Lord in the presence of her family on June 4th, 2015 at the age of 89. She was the daughter of Joseph Bogle and Addie Gunn Bogle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. W.R. Munday whom she married in 1965, he passed in 1996. She was also preceded in death by one son; Rev. Joseph R. McAdoo, one daughter; Addie Agnus McAdoo, two brothers; John Elmer Bogle and Joseph A. Bogle, and five sisters; Deolia Pennington, Nellie Gaines, Orangelina Bogle, Mary Elizabeth Bogle, and June Bogle. She is survived by two sons; Wardell McAdoo Jr. of Somerset and Walter R. (and Kathy) Munday Jr. of Louisville, two daughters; Nellie M. (and John) Perkins of Somerset and Yvonne C. (and Rev. Ralph) Smith of Danville, and a daughter-in-law; Mary McAdoo of Somerset. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who all mourn her passing. Ms. Munday was a member of Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church of Somerset and was a stewardess at the church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Organization and the Dunbar High School Alumni Board (where she graduated). She was a homemaker and housekeeper for other families, as well as her own. Ms. Munday enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends. She was a very strong-willed lady that was extremely loved by her community. She served as First Lady of Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church of Somerset, St. John A.M.E Church of Monticello, and Bethel Burdick of Campbellsville. As a First Lady, she walked alongside her husband in his ministry and was always faithful to The Lord. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church of Somerset with Rev. Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Stanford Pike Cemetery in Somerset. The family will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and also on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Davis Chapel A.M.E. Church of Somerset from 11:00 a.m. until time for services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland of Davis Chapel A.M.E. of Somerset. The family of Ms. Munday would also like to personally thank Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerwoods Rehabilitation Center, Pulaski Funeral Home, Jean Waddle Care Center Hospice of Lake Cumberland, David Chapel A.M.E. of Somerset, and everyone for all of their support. “God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform, He plants His footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm.” Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Ms. Clementine Munday.
