Nadine Nicholas

Nadine Nicholas departed this life on January 10th, 2009 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Nadine was born on February 11, 1920 at Paint Lick, KY the daughter of the late Forest and Nancy Conn Center. She was retired from Mountain Spirit Antiques and Crafts in McCreary County, KY, but as her family and friends know, she never retired from her favorite work, Polishing and cleaning her home in Ferguson, KY. She was of the Presbyterian faith and also had a tremendous love for Sister Marty of St. Mildred’s and Father Howlin, as well as Sisters Nancy, Mary, Jean, Lorraine, Gertrude and Dorothy of the Good Shepherd Chapel. In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nicholas to whom she was married 51 years, she was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Tandy Center and an infant sister, Georgia Mae Center. 2008, the last year of her life was filled with many new and loving friends from Lake Cumberland Hospice and the Pulaski County Alzhiemers Respite Center. Charline and Pam will be forever grateful to them. Nadine is survived by her one daughter, Pam Marrinan and one granddaughter, Charline Marrinan, but she was “Mom and Granny” to everyone. She is also survived by many special friends who both mourn her passing and celebrate her homegoing. The family of Mrs. Nadine Nicholas will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home form 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2008 and funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Father Howlin, Rev. Danny Staley and Chaplin David Green officiating. Burial will follow Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Paint Lick Cemetery in Paint Lick, KY.
