Pauline Chitwood

Mrs. Pauline Chitwood, daughter of the late Earl and Cora Fitzgerald Tarter, was born July 12, 1923 at Nancy, Kentucky, and she departed this life on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 91 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Harry Chitwood on January 20, 1942, he preceded her in death. Survivors include; three daughters, Cheryl (and Jimmy) Fisher, Gail Roberts, and Gwen (and David) Carr all of Somerset; one brother, Curt (and Sandy)Tarter of Somerset; one sister, Elgie Weddle of Somerset; seven grandchildren, Leanne (and Mike) Blount, Andy (and Kelli) Fisher, Jill (and J.J.) Grabeel, Julie (and Ron) Hoff, Justin (and Jeanie) Carr, Rebecca Carr, and Rachel (and Nathan) Lange; and 18 great grandchildren, Kelli Blount, Chris Blount, Lily Fisher, Blakelyn Fisher, Jade Grabeel, Jacob Grabeel, Skylar Hoff, Seth Carr, Cassi Carr, Joi Carr, Kayla Bledsoe, Austin Bledsoe, Brooklyn Bledsoe, Tayler Lange, Kealie Lange, Keenan Lange, Brandon Lange, and Daniel Lange also survivng is one sister-in-law, Ruth Chitwood; one brother-in-law, Ward Correll. Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by; two brothers, Linville Tarter and a brother, Vertrees Tarter who died in infancy; two sisters, Mable Taylor, and Regina Correll. Pauline was a very active lady when she was able. She worked for many years for Jack and Jill at the downtown Somerset Location, then for Harry’s Somerset Supply Company and in her later years worked for King of Kings Radio. She was a kind lady who loved the Lord and her family, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her and leaves a vast host of relatives, friends and church family to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Pauline Chitwood will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. David Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery. The family of Pauline Chitwood will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to King of Kings Radio, P.O. Box 1423, Somerset, Ky 42502 Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Pauline Chitwood.
