Irene Schoolcraft Flynn

Irene Flynn, daughter of the late Ira and Sallie Tarter Schoolcraft, was born on November 12, 1917 and departed this life on Wednesday, February 08, 2006 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital having attained the age of 88 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Clifford Flynn on October 4, 1936; five children blessed this union, Mary Ann Burkett of Faubush, KY; Donald C. Flynn of Indianapolis, IN; Ronald H. (and Jennifer) Flynn of Louisville, KY; Jennie Lou Flynn of Faubush, KY and David (and Sue Petrosky) Flynn M. D. of Faubush, KY. Other survivors include; one sister, (an identical twin) Kathleen Harris of Faubush, KY; a brother,Clinton Schoolcraft of the Oak Hill Community; four grandchildren, Bruce Gene (and Pamela) Burkett of Somerset, KY; Rebecca Ann Burkett of Richmond, KY, and Mark and Shawn Flynn of Louisville, KY; seven great grandchildren, Britton, Tyler, Steele, Trinity, and Bree Burkett, and Brittany and Samantha Dorsey; and a host of other relatives and friends. Irene was a lifelong loving wife, mother, and farmer. She was a member of the Faubush Church of the Nazarene where she was active as long as her health would permit. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Brockman officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family od Mrs. Irene Schoolcraft Flynn will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2006 until after services. Pulaski Funeral Home has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of flowers or contributions to the Faubush Church of the Nazarene.
