Andrew “Ray” Turpen, 93, of Burnside, Kentucky passed away on Monday, April 6th, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born on January 11th, 1922 in Burnside, Kentucky to the late George Parker and Mary Todd Brown Turpen.
He was the widower of Angie Turpen whom he married on January 5, 1942 in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He was a member of Burnside United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was retired from Burnside Marina and had a passion for fishing. He was also a member of Burnside United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brother; Jay Turpen, and nephew; David Todd Turpen.
He is survived by a niece; Katherine Marie Turpen of Windham, Maine, a sister-in-law; Margie Turpen, a special friend; Donnie Flynn, and special family that loved Ray like their own; Robert and Susi Lawson, April (Mike) Noritis, Aimee Flynn, Stephen Flynn, Makayla Rae, Chelsey, Gabe, Kailan, Steven Lee, Madison, and Sophia.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2015 with Bro. Richard Held officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mr. Ray Turpen will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.
