Gloria Voline Simpson

Gloria Simpson, 82, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her residence. A Pulaski County native, she was born August 7, 1932, daughter of the late John and Eva Hurd Absher. She was a homemaker and member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Collas L. Simpson whom she married on November 20, 1954; three daughters, Kathy (and William C.) Lewis of Burnside, Karen (and Jeff) Cress of Somerset, Karla (and Douglas) Parker of Corbin. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jeffrey Cress Jr., Joni Cress, Moriah Parker, Caleb Parker, John Lewis, Alison Lewis, one great-grandson, Gavin Colarusso and one brother, M. Kay Absher of Eubank. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, at 3:00 pm at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Earl Olgesbee of Denison, Texas, officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 28, at Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements.
