Mr. James E. Randall

Mr. James E. "Jim" Randall, son of the late Elwin "Pete" and Geneva Godby Randall, was born in Somerset, KY on January 12, 1945 and he departed this life on Saturday, December 13, 2008 having attained the age of 63 years. He was united in marriage to Linda Colyer Randall, she survives. Other survivors include two children, Katie (and Eric) Owens and Eric Randall all of Somerset, KY; two sisters, Sue (and Luid) Gover and Rhonda (and Doug) Denney all of Somerset, KY and a large host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Murrell Randall and Linda Randall Newton. Jim was retired from the Cabinet of Family and Health Services and was an administrator of Lifeline Home Health Company. James will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was always able to find humour in any situation and bring a smile to people around him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Science Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Watts and Bro. Mike Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery. The family of Mr. James Randall will receive friends at the Science Hill United Methodist Church from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2008. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
