Joseph Timothy (J.T.) Murphy

Joseph Timothy (J.T.) Murphy, age 72, of Bethelridge, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015. He was born in Danville, Kentucky on June 1, 1942, son of the late Willie B. and Ora K. Wall Murphy. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa G. Murphy Peek; two sisters, Maureen Durham and Shirley Spaw; and one brother, Russell Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Brenda J. Roy Murphy, whom he married on October 27, 1963; and also three daughters, Sherri (and Rodney) Whitis of Somerset, Trish (and Mark) Wiles of Somerset, Pamela (and Stuart) May of Somerset; and two sons, Timothy Joe Murphy of Bethelridge and Michael Paul Murphy of Bethelridge; one sister, Iva Dean Murphy Price; and one brother, Talmadge Murphy. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: J.Shane (and Meagan) Peek, Jordan Wiles, Jerrad Molden, Mason Wiles, Haden Fox, Clayton Wiles and Emma Grace May. J.T. was a member of Valley Oak Baptist Church, and retired from Hinkle Contracting Corporation after forty-six years of service. Service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, at 1:00 pm at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Clark officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 24, at Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Valley Oak Cemetery in Argyle, Kentucky. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be handling all arrangements for Mr. Joseph Timothy (J.T.) Murphy.
