Ruth Elizabeth Sims Fickenscher

Ruth Elizabeth Sims Fickenscher age 95, was born on June 14, 1919 to Walter & Melissa Griffin in Somerset Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Legends Senior Living in Glendale, AZ. Ruth was the youngest of nine siblings and last surviving. She graduated from Somerset High School. Attended and graduated from Anna Manning Beauty Collage in Louisville Kentucky also graduated from Rogers Business School Somerset, Kentucky. She was part owner and worked as a Beautician at Edith Beauty Shop in Somerset. She was employed at Somerset Gas Company for 2 years. Worked and retired from General Electric after 25 years of service. Member of the Kentucky Colonel. She enjoyed her faith as a member of the Sun City Christian Church. She Married Carley Sims February 10 1942. Carley passed June 23 1988. She married George Fickenscher March 13 1990. George passed July 16, 1999. She is survived by two step-sons Dr. Larry Fickenscher Eugene, Oregon and Charles Fickenscher Sun City, Arizona. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home Somerset, Kentucky with Bro. Joe Altman. The family of Mrs. Fickenscher will receive friends on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until times for services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Somerset City Cemetery.
