Mr. Frank Bourne, son of the late George J. and Lois E. Corder Bourne, was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 6, 1940 and he departed this life on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 having attained the age of 74 years.
He was united in marriage to Dixie Cox Bourne, she survives. Other survivors include two children, Scott W. Bourne of Somerset, Kentucky and Julie (Jeremy) Wallace of Lexington, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Aly Bourne, Isabel Wallace, Lincoln Wallace, and Reid Wallace; four brothers, Edward J. (Shirley) Bourne of Louisville, Kentucky, Michael (Diane) Bourne of Somerset, Kentucky, David (Beth) Bourne of Austin, Texas and Pat (Linda) Bourne of Somerset, Kentucky; and one sister, Margaret Garner of Louisville, Kentucky.
Frank was an avid golfer, he also enjoyed stamp collecting, coin collecting, and having lunches with his family and friends.
He was a member of St. Mildred Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus. Frank was also an Army veteran having served our country from 1959 through 1962 and while serving, worked for Army Security.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, February 27, 2015 at the St. Mildred Catholic Church with Father Jim Sichko officiating.
The family will receive friends at St. Mildred Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2015 until time for services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association or Gods Food Pantry.
