Edna Mae Crockett

Mrs. Edna Mae Crockett, daughter of the late J. W. and Margaret E. Hughes New, passed away on January 5, 2015. She was born July 4, 1917 in the Oakhill Community. She was the wife of the late Samuel S. Crockett. She was a lifelong member of the Oakhill Baptist Church, where she placed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, flowers and gardening. Survivors include; two sons, Murrell (and Lucille) Crockett, Gary (and Marie) Crockett all of Somerset, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Ann Blackburn, David Crockett, Stephanie Jones, Melanie McDaniel. Eric Crockett and Sara Crockett; ten great grandchildren, Kristen, Michael, Amy, Joshua, Lucas, Rebecca, Emily, Savanna, Naomi, and Henry; and the following great great grandchildren, Michael and Mason, and a very special caretaker, Barbara Price and the staff of Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation for their loving care. Other than her parents, and husband, she was also preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters, Skyler, Arthur, Floyd, Osborne, Johnny and Denney New, and Pearlie New, Lela Calhoun, Charity Tarter, and Flona Gadberry. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Oak Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Harold brown and Rev. Gary Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Edna Mae Crockett will receive friends at the Oak Hill Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. Thursday Morning until time for services. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Edna Mae Crockett.
