Buddy Lee Phillips, son of the late Luther and Fannie Jones Phillips, was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 2, 1945 and he departed this life on December 27, 2014 at his residence, having attained the age of 69 years. He was first united in marriage to Mrs. Joyce Phillips, she preceded him in death. He later married Mrs. Marie "Toni" Phillips, on September 24, 1994 in Somerset, Kentucky. She survives. Other survivors include; one daughter, Melissa Phillips (and Michael Pierce) of Somerset, Kentucky, the following grandchildren, Ashley (and Matt) Sutherland, Casie (and Tyler) Sexton all of Somerset, Kentucky, and Jake, Haley and Tanner Parks of Bronston, Kentucky; one son in law, Mike Parks of Bronston, Kentucky, and four sisters, Judy (and Richard) Haggard of Athens, Alabama, Sandy (Rudy) Hamm of Knoxville, Tennessee, Becky Ward of Columbia, Tennessee, and Shelia Phillips of Somerset, Kentucky; and many nieces, nephews, step children and step grandchildren whom he loved very much are left to mourn his passing. He is also survived by a special friend Mr. Derf Garner. Other than his parents and first wife, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Angela "Angie" Parks. Buddy was a member of the Ringgold Methodist Church, and he worked as a Receiving Clerk for Modern Distributors for many years. He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mr. Buddy Lee Phillips will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. Buddy Lee Phillips.
