Alene Norton Purcell

Mrs. Alene Purcell, 65, of Gover Street Somerset. entered eternal rest Thursday, January 19th, 2006 while in the company of family members at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Mrs. Purcell was born in Rockcastle County, KY on July 11, 1940, the daughter of the late Roy and Ollie (Chasteen) Norton. She was a retired Therapist at Adanta She had also taught in the Rockcastle School System and also worked with the pre-school program at the Somerset United Methodist Church and the Pulaski County School System. She was a member of Burnett's Chapel Methodist Church She was the wife of David Purcell. They were united in marriage on January 27, 1961, he survives. Other survivors include two Daughter(s): Melanie Williams of Raleigh, NC. and Melinda Hunter of Versailles, KY. also surviving is; one sister, Louanna Purcell of Somerset, KY. and four grandchildren. Other than her parents , she was also preceded in death by four Brothers: Harold Norton, John Lafe Norton, James D. Norton, and Eddie Norton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery in Rockcastle County, KY. The family of Alene Purcell will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2006. Pulaski Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
