Bernice Aker

Bernice Aker, age 80, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 15th, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Bernice was born on May 27th, 1934 in Somerset to the late Lloyd Randall and Alma (Eaton) Randall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Aker. Surviving to cherish her memory are one son; Dennis Aker of Somerset, one sister; Phyllis Marcum of Ferguson, and one special niece, Kimberly Marcum. Survivors also include her Mother-in Law; Irene Aker of Somerset, Sister-in-Laws, Hazel Aker of Somerset, Emily Kaelin (Rick) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mary David of Dallas, Texas. Brother-in-Laws include; Mike (Lisa) Aker, Steve (Donna) Aker of Science Hill, and David (Wanda) Aker of Williamsburg, Kentucky. She also leaves a host of cousins and other relatives who mourn her passing. Bernice loved sewing and was a member of Flat Lick Baptist Church and was a retired sales clerk for United Department Store. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18th, 2014 in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Ashley officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Bernice Aker will be after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17th, 2014 at Pulaski Funeral Home. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements.
