Deanna Judy Quinton

September 12, 1943 — November 27, 2014

Deanna Judy Quinton, age 71, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, 27 November 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, James William Lee Glover and Rosa Thelma Newberry Glover, her sister, Voleda Carol Glover Ping, and her husband, James Robert Quinton. She is survived by three sons, Joseph David and Mitzi Dawn Quinton, Rodney Scott Quinton, and Kevin Robert and Robin Quinton; one daughter, Kelli Carol and James Rodney Edwards; seven grandchildren, Andrew Christian Beasley, Seth Taylor Eagle Quinton, Justice Sawyer Quinton, Chase Andrew Robinson, Blake Austin Quinton, Victoria Taylor Quinton, and Sarah Elizabeth Robinson; two great-granddaughters, Brylee Addison Quinton and Fiona Quinn Beasley; one dearly loved aunt, Beulah Hunt; one brother, Donald Lee Glover; two loved nephews, Faron Lee and Joann Glover and Aaron Leo and Sharon Glover; several loved cousins, including Jean and Ralph Farmer, Lerleen Hail, and Elwood and Lou Hunt; many special aunts and uncles; and her beloved and much-spoiled Pomeranian, Rosco. Born on 12 September 1943 in Ruth, Kentucky, she graduated from Somerset High School and went to work at Palm Beach and then General Electric-Somerset Glass Plant where she served as a shift coordinator for 34 years. She married James "Jimmy" Robert Quinton on 15 June 1962 and established a large and close knit family. Following retirement, she filled her days caring for Rosco, reading, cooking, caring for her family, and watching the FoodNetwork, Christy, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, and The Waltons. Family and friends were her great passion in life and she loved to be surrounded by them. Watching the Food Network with a steno pad and pencil by her side, she loved trying out new recipes on those she loved. Her children wish to express that she was a loving mother who always sacrificed her own comfort and needs for those of her children. She was totally supportive of us and encouraged us in all of our undertakings. She prayed for us each morning and each night and you could feel each day that she wrapped each of us in the hands of God. She showed her family and friends the love, compassion and grace of Our Lord and we are confident that she made a royal entrance into the gates of Heaven hearing the words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Because our mother loved to read and enjoyed the public library and its staff, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Pulaski County Public Library to increase their Christian fiction section where our mother got much of her reading material. Donations in honor and memory of our mother can be mailed to Pulaski County Public Library, Charlotte Keeney, 304 South Main Street, Somerset, Kentucky 42501. Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 after 6 to 9 PM at Pulaski Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Darvie Fenison officiating. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Pulaski Co. Public Library. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
