Fred Paul " Poppy" Fisher, son of the late Otto and Lizzie Robinson Fisher, was born in Somerset, KY on November 5, 1919 and departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2006 having attained the age of 86 years.
He was united in marriage to Charlotte West Fisher for more than 51 years before she preceded him in death.
Survivors include; two daughters, Linda (and Mike) Wilson of Bowling Green, KY and Jane Burton of Nicholasville, KY; one sister, Eva (and Zenas) Eubank of Eubank, KY; four grandchildren, Penny (and Brandon) Neal of Bowling Green, KY, Tami Tompkins of Bowling Green, KY, Kevin Burton of Jackson, TN and Kelly (and Tim) Kathlina of Sioux Falls, SD; three step-grandchildren, Michael Wilson Jr., Shawn (and Brooke) Wilson of Bowling Green, KY and Nick Wilson of Bowling Green, KY; five great grandchildren, Chase, Lauren, Austin, Taylor and Ty and several nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Fred was a retired Life Insurance Agent for Commonwealth Life Insurance Company where he served for 35 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello, a graduate of Eubank High School and was a founding member of the Monticello Country Club.
He was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who mourn his passing and celebrate his homegoing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. C. E. Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery. The family of Mr. Fred Paul "Poppy" Fisher will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services at 1:00 p.m.
