Mrs. Frances Kerr, daughter of the late George and Maude Price Gill, was born in the Wilburn Community of Pulaski County, KY on December 29, 1924 and she departed this life at her residence Wednesday, November 19, 2014 having attained the age of 89 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. James Melton Kerr on April 19, 1947, he preceded her in death.
Survivors include; two sons, James Larry (and Lana) Kerr and Michael Lynn (and Cindy) Kerr, one daughter, Brenda Kaye (and Jerry) Ledford; eight grandchildren, Lori Savage, Tammy Jackson, Greg Ledford, Tracey Ruble, Christy White, Emily Valentine, Hilary Kerr and Maria Kerr; and 14 great grandchildren, Garrett, Drew and Emma Savage, Clay and Cade Jackson, Madison, Anderson, and Ethan Ruble, Colyer and Sarah White, and Trey, Hailee, Roslyn and Brady Valentine.
Other than her parents, and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, William Gill, and one sister, Pauline Seymour.
Frances worked as a clerk and secretary for Cumberland Lumber for many years. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, and was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Pace and Rev. Don Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Mrs. Frances Kerr will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
