Mary T. Sears, daughter of the late Matthew T. and Arizona Mounce Baker, was born in the Dykes Community of Pulaski County, KY on February 16, 1919 and she departed this life on Thursday, October 23, 2008 in Cincinnati, Ohio having attained the age of 89 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. William Jessie Sears. Mr. Sears preceded her in death.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters and one great grandchild, Megan Sears.
Survivors include; two sons, William J. (and Marsha) Sears and Charles (and June) Sears both of Somerset, Kentucky; one daughter, Carolyn (and Arnold) Dykes of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Naomi Gilbert of Braodhead, KY, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Mary was a member of the Providence Baptist Church, when she was able to work, she was a seamstress for the Palm Beach Manufacturing Company for 23 years. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of other relatives, and friends who both mourn her passing and celebrate her homegoing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Dalous Sears officiating. Burial will follow in the White Lily Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Mary T. Sears will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008.
