Mr. Ernest Baird

Mr. Ernest G. Baird, 91, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. Husband of the late Ethel Jones Baird, son of the late James and Pearl Baird, brother of the late Edith Ayers, Clyde, Lester, Homer Baird and two sons that died in infancy. Survivors include; three sons, David Baird of Somerset, KY, Gene Baird of Franklin, TN and Jerry Baird of Middletown, OH; four grandchildren, Rev. Greg Baird of Georgia, Ronnie of Georgia, Tony of Ohio, and Amy of KY; eight great grandchildren, Brandon, Adam, Brennen, Max, Hogan, Austin, Payton, and Nathan. Ernest was a retiree of General Motors of Norwood, OH, also a veteran of World War II; He was a volunteer for a number of years at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital with more than 4000 hours of service. The family of Mr. Ernest Baird will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, KY on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at the Cross – Smith Funeral Home in LaFollette, TN on Wednesday Evening October 22, 2008 from 5:30 to 7:30 and observe funeral services at the Chapel of the Cross-Smith Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening in LaFollette. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements of Mr. Ernest Baird.
