Mr. Robert Eugene "Gene" Meece

Mr. Robert Gene Meece, age 88 of Somerset, KY passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1926 in Colo, KY, son of the late Edgar and Amanda Mayfield Meece. He retired from Midstate. Gene loved to go fishing and hunting. He is survived by; his wife, Ruby Christine Meece; two sons, Roger (and Debbie) Meece and Danny Meece, all of Somerset, KY; two daughters, Patricia Wright and Tina (and Terry) Coomer all of Somerset, KY; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by; two sons, Ronnie and Michael Meece; one grandson, Scotty Meece; four brothers, Clyde, James, Harold, and Bobby Meece; and three sisters, Marie Ramsey, Elizabeth Meece and Eula Morris. Gene was a kind person and he leaves a host of friends and family who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home. The family of Mr. Robert Eugene “Gene” Meece will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 12:00 noon Monday until time for services.
