Betty Tucker Colson, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Neighborhood. She is survived by her husband, Barkley F. Colson, whom she married on November 1, 1947 in Harrodsburg, KY; three children, James B. Colson of Science Hill, KY, Anne (and David) Dick of Bronston, KY, and Jeffery L. Colson of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Forrest L. Colson of Somerset, KY, Rebecca (and Ryan) Cash of Science Hill, KY and Jamie R. Colson of Somerset, KY; one great grandson, Andrew Walker Cash of Science Hill, KY. Other survivors include her father, Mr. O. C. Tucker Sr., Lucille (and Eugene) Stringer, O. C. Tucker, Jr. and his wife Gladys, Eugene (and Betty Ruth) Tucker and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who mourn his passing. Other than her mother, she was preceded in death by; one sister, Mary Bates. Betty was a member of the Southern Heights Christian Church, where she was active as long as her health would permit her attending. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18th 2008 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Short and Rev. Willie Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Betty L. Colson will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 17th, and from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until after services at the Pulaski Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Betty Colson.
