Mr. Wyatt Strong, the son of Dorothy Starr Strong and the late William Collier Strong, was born in Memphis, TN on September 29, 1956 and he departed this life on Saturday, October 4, 2008 in Somerset, KY having attained the age of 52 years.
Other than his mother, he is survived by his wife, Teresa Hall Strong of Somerset, KY two daughters, Ashley and Miranda Strong of Somerset, KY; two brothers, Stephen A. Strong and his wife Jean, of Collierville, TN, and David W. Strong and his wife Jamie of Germantown, TN; his mother-in law, Elsie Cozby of Fort Worth, TX and his father-in-law, Joe Hall, Jr. of Dallas, TX as well as a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Wyatt was a past attendee of Mississippi State where he played football for a time. Wyatt was the owner of Strong Forest Products of Somerset, KY. He was a member of the Eagle Heights Baptist Church, a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #38, Pulaski Vets Post 269 and the Fort Wayne Indiana Shriners. He was a graduate of the National Hardwood and Lumber School of Memphis, TN. He enjoyed Skydiving, Scuba Diving, Cooking, Hunting, Fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was also an avid football fan and music lover and supported the Ole Miss Rebels.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Bialon officiating. The family will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until after funeral services.
The family of Mr. Strong will also receive friends at the Forest Hill Funeral Home, East located at 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN at 1:00 p.m. C.S.T Thursday, October 9, 2008 with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Ernie Frey officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, TN following the services.
