Anna Marie Cole Meece, age 91 of the Piney Grove Community of Pulaski County, KY was born July 16, 1923 in Kenton County, Kentucky to the late Oscar Jackson and Agnes Plymessar Cole, and she went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 11, 2014. She was united in marriage to Lincoln A. Meece on August 10, 1946, he also preceded her in death.
Survivors include the following children; “Butch” (and Betty) Weatherford of Somerset, KY, Melda (and Dannie) Jones of Nancy, KY, Brenda (and Lloyd) Smith of Thompson, North Dakota, Kathy Akin of Science Hill, KY, Sharon (and Gary) Stogsdill of Somerset, KY and Lincoln “Buddy” A. Meece, Jr. of Somerset, KY; 16 grandchildren, Bobby, Jackie, Trena, Ricky, Shelia, Sherry, Joe, Amber, Anna Lee, William, Oonhi, Michelle, Cody, Christopher, and Dylan; 26 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, and one sister, Myrtle Taylor of Covington, KY.
Other than her parents, and husband, she is also preceded in death by; one daughter who died in infancy, Ambry Meece, one son-in-law, Bobby V. Akin; a grandson, Ralph Leon Meece, Jr. and a great grandson, Kyle Weatherford.
Ann was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church #1, she loved her church family and loved the Lord. Her favorite thing was for all of her family to be together.
She was a wonderful Christian lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Kennedy, Bro. Bill Hall, and Bro. Anthony Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Keeney Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Ann Meece will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014.
