Sibyl Mullins Brown

Sibyl Mullins Brown, 87 of Somerset, Kentucky passed away peacefully December 28, 2005 surrounded by her family. She was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky on May 25, 1918, the daughter of William Watson Mullins and Minta Fairchild Mullins. On July 5, 1939 she married James R. Brown (who passed away on June 17, 1973). She was a Homemaker, business woman, and civic leader. She had attended Milligan College, and a member of the Whitesburg United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children Carol Brown Hubbard, and John William Brown, and her grandchildren Cindy Howard Brown, Leigh Ann Howard Carson, Melinda Grace Howard Halow, and John William Brown II, great grandchildren Jasmine Halow, Savannah Halow and Chase Carson. She was preceded in death by her husband, son James Reid Brown, brother Dr. Chad Mullins and a sister Charlene Mullins Stone. Funeral Services will be held at the Whitesburg United Methodist Church, Saturday December 31, 2005 with Rev. Paul S. Blair officiating, family and friends may call at the church from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the church. Family and friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday December 30, 2005 at the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.
