Joseph "Joe" Cox

Joseph Cox of Somerset, Kentucky, son of the late Scott and Lola Hughett Cox, was born at Grundy, Kentucky on January 10. 1933 and he departed this life on September 9, 2014 at lake Cumberland Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois Estes Cox of Somerset, Kentucky; his daughter, Kathy (and Donald) Bright of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Stella Cox Rexroat of Somerset, Kentucky and a host of friends who mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Cox; and one brother-in-law, Kenneth Rexroat. He was a member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of the Burnside Masonic Lodge #634 and served as a Past Master. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Donovan Burton and Dr. John Mark Toby officiating. Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery. The family of Mr. Joseph Cox will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014. There will be a masonic services held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to The Beacon Hill Baptist church or the charity of ones choice. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
