Patrick C. McDermott

Patrick Clement McDermott, Jr., 73, of Eubank, KY, left this world to be with his Lord and Savior on August 17, 2014. Patrick passed peacefully at his home after a long hard battle with cancer. He was born April 4, 1941 in Louisville, KY to the late Patrick C. McDermott, SR. and Frances McDermott. Survivors include his wife; Rebecca, his children, Nanette (and Gary) Evans of Rantoul, IL, Patrick (and Rose) McDermott, III of Louisville, KY and Robert (and Candace) McDermott of Spring Lake, N.C., Amanda (and John) High of Lexington, KY, Carl Colegrove of Lexington, KY and Paul Colegrove also of Lexington, KY; four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his aunt and Uncle, Oscar and Dolly Rayburn, and his former wife, Beverly Rice McDermott. Patrick served honorably in the United States Army, He was employed and retired from American Builders Steel Co. of Louisville, KY. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to ACS / Hope Lodge 1500 College Way, Lexington, Kentucky 40502.
