Barbara Louise Reese

March 20, 1928 — August 12, 2014

Barbara Louise Reese, 86, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Hospice of Lake Cumberland. She was born in Syracuse, New York on March 20, 1928, daughter of the late David and Helen Masters. Barbara loved to laugh! She brought a smile to everyone she met. She loved to sing and dance and was a member of the Dayton Mother Singers for many years. She also love athletics. She was a participant in the Ohio Senior Olympics for ten years, competing in tennis, volleyball, softball, ping pong and track and field events. She attended Cumberland Church of Christ. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Knoll of Eaton, OH, Barbara & (Ralph) Moran of Athens, OH and Terri & (Robin) Vinovich of Somerset, five grandchildren, Jennifer Limoli, Pete Moran, Kate Robey, Brooke Megargel and Sarah Stone, five great-grandchildren, Ella and Gavin Moran, Luke and Lauren Robey and Kyron Stone, two sisters, Sally Macko and Dorthea Scholl, one brother, David Masters and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Charles Sternberg and Mike Reese, her parents, one sister, Shirley Masters and one brother, John Masters. Barbara lived at the Neighborhood in Somerset for over eight years. The family would like to thank Sharon Reynolds and the staff for their love and devotion to her. Also thanks to Kaye Presley, her special friend and sitter. A funeral service will be held at 5 PM Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Cumberland Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 3 PM to 5 PM Thursday at Cumberland Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
